10. Wow Bao – Lakeview
Modern Chicago chain for Asian steamed buns & other street food

The food at this establishment was somewhat disappointing, with bland flavors and limited options for vegetarians. The vegetarian potstickers stood out as the most flavorful item, while the veggie bao, dessert bao, and fried rice all needed improvement. This is a fast food-style venue, with orders placed through a kiosk. Despite having no other customers during my visit, the food was prepared quickly, likely due to premade buns.
I encountered a problem when trying to use my lettuce entertain code, as the screen froze. Fortunately, the lone worker was helpful and processed my order manually. The Thai curry and BBQ chicken buns that I ordered were not bad in terms of taste. However, based on this experience, I am unlikely to return to this establishment in the future. The fast food setup and lackluster flavors did not appeal to me.
