Susan and I had the opportunity to attend the soft-opening of the original Cooking Girl location many years ago, and we were their first ever customers. The newly opened Montrose location of Cooking Girl maintains the same incredible qualities as the original. Our recent dining experience featured food that was as good as, if not better than, our first visit. The service, thanks to Leon, was exceptional.
The Spicy Chicken lived up to its name - it was extremely spicy, so much so that I could not feel my tongue. The heat came from a single green pepper ingredient that was incredibly hot, but also delicious. Despite the intense heat, I would definitely return to Cooking Girl. The red dumplings were another highlight of the meal, as was the fried shrimp, which was not greasy or overly breaded.
