2. Murphy's Market

The market in question is expensive, with prices that are significantly higher than average. The quality of the produce and meat sold at the market is generally good. However, the market does not accept returns of any kind, including meat. This policy can be frustrating for customers who may have purchased meat that did not meet their expectations.
On a separate occasion, the same market was found to be overpriced, with the staff not being particularly friendly or helpful. A month prior, the customer had purchased meat and food from the market, but the quality of the meat was subpar. Despite this, the tortillas sold at the market are reportedly quite good. Overall, while the market does offer some decent options, the high prices and inconsistent quality make it a difficult place to shop for some customers.

10. Saver's 99¢ Market
Unique shopping experience with a focus on affordability

The store resembles a smaller, cooler version of Family Dollar. The check-cashing experience was just average. I was disappointed because I called to confirm their check-cashing hours and services, but upon arriving, I faced issues. I drove from El Cajon early in the morning, as they were the earliest check-cashing place, and my check needed verification before noon EST.
Upon reaching the check-cashing area, presenting my ID, letter, and check, the cashier immediately said he couldn't verify it because it was Saturday. I reminded him of their stated hours, but he still refused to cash it, claiming it had a P.O. box address. The check was for $1900 from a lawsuit, with clear instructions on verification. The cashier's behavior suggests he either lacked the cash or the competence to verify it. This waste of time and gas money left me frustrated, as their false advertising as a check-cashing place when they couldn't cash a simple check was unacceptable. I advise against going out of your way to visit this store due to its inadequate services and unpleasant odor.
