1. Miraj Healthy Grill
Emphasis on healthy and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine

Looking for authentic Persian cuisine with healthy and special lunch options? Look no further than Miraj Healthy Grill. Diners love their tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone lamb legs and their $14 lunch specials, which include a main dish, appetizer, salad, basmati rice, vegetables and pita bread. For a lighter meal, we love the healthy mixed salad (arugula, avocado, corn, cherry tomato and orange with lime mayonnaise dressing; add grilled shrimp). Can't decide which appetizers to choose? Try the combo plate and choose three starters to try.

2. Persepolis
Historic and culturally rich dining experience

Known for its fast, friendly service and delicious menu (and website, by the way), Persepolis has traditional Persian cuisine offerings, plus some unique standout dishes. With a variety of salads to choose from, the Olievieh is a must: chicken, potatoes, English peas, Persian pickles, eggs and mayonnaise (reminiscent of classic Russian potato salad). Eggplant lovers rejoice: the Eggplant Trio appetizer offers a sampler of Baba (baked eggplant puree, Persian goat cheese, walnuts and onion), Eggplant Mirza (roasted eggplant puree, mint, tomato, garlic and spicy yogurt ) and Eggplant Halim (mashed roasted eggplant, lentils, garlic and spicy yogurt). Perhaps the highlight of Persepolis is the five varieties of rice they offer, all basmati, with different additions (dill and fava beans, lentils and raisins, sour cherries, our favorite, barberry and traditional steamed basmati rice).
