Despite promises that reservations can be changed, it appears that only cancellations are allowed, with no option to rebook any previously reserved days. Furthermore, the process of refunding canceled reservations is extremely slow, taking 45 days, which is over 6 weeks, instead of the expected 4-5 days.

On a more positive note, a couple's experience with glamping at Dockweiler last June was thoroughly enjoyable. While they didn't have the best spot, the view of the ocean and sand was still visible from where they were staying. They also brought their dogs, which seemed to relish the experience. The facilities and grounds were well-maintained and clean, with staff regularly patrolling the area every half an hour. The surrounding atmosphere was lively, with many children playing, people laughing, and occasionally some loud music. Nonetheless, the appropriateness of this type of surroundings depends on individual preferences.

A last-minute reservation at a new RV park turned out to be a great decision. The owner, Steve, was very accommodating and helpful, even meeting us at the entrance to park our travel trailer. The park had a friendly neighborhood atmosphere, and we felt safe walking our dog at night. While there was some occasional noise from the street, it was located very close to it due to our last-minute reservation. Our Starlink didn't work well, but the park had good wi-fi, and we couldn't complain about the beautiful trees surrounding us.

The RV park, while quirky, was located in a convenient town location. The sign on Balboa Road was small and easy to miss, but once we found it, we received excellent welcome and installation assistance. There was a small market nearby, and the park had a fun, campy vibe with a Hollywood-inspired atmosphere. Although our Starlink didn't work well due to the trees, the park's good wi-fi made up for it. Overall, we felt welcomed and had a positive experience during our stay.
