Smithfield Hall NYC is a decent spot with friendly staff and quick service. They offer small dishes and a variety of sports on different television screens. The wings, however, fell short of being the best I've had. Despite that, they do have both indoor and outdoor seating options.
The highlight of my experience at Smithfield Hall was the delicious Chicken Katsu and the excellent onion rings. However, there were some difficulties when it came to tidying up and putting a table on a tab at the end of the night. Additionally, there was some confusion with custom drink orders as the waitress did not accept them, despite the app allowing for customization.

As a former graduate student at NYU, I have fond memories of spending time here with friends. The abundance of reasonably priced pitchers of beer added to our enjoyment, and the cozy ambiance made our visits even more delightful. Even after two decades, returning to Josie Woods Pub brought back those nostalgic feelings.
