2. Pizza Bella Italian Bistro
This cozy Italian bistro, located in a residential area, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly service.

The eggplant entree was expertly prepared, encased in a generous serving of fresh spinach and accompanied by a large salad. The dining establishment was commendably clean, and the service, provided by Lemay, was exceptional. However, parking in the Old Town area can be a challenge, so it was fortunate that we were on foot.
The pizza and salads at this establishment are delicious, as was the lasagna. While the prices are on the higher side, around $20 for an appetizer and dinner plate, the dishes are made with fresh ingredients. The seating arrangements are somewhat cramped, with tables and chairs placed closely together, making it challenging to move around without bumping into neighboring patrons. Despite the wait for seating, our kids enjoyed their pizza and salad.

The restaurant offers a variety of salad options, ranging from fresh mixed greens with colorful vegetables to creamy salads. The salad is highly acclaimed for its delightful harmony of flavors and textures.

The salads at this location are fresh and offer a satisfying dining experience. One popular option is the taco salad, which boasts a crispy shell and delicious toppings, providing a burst of flavor with each bite. However, the chicken salad, while featuring fresh greens, falls short with slightly dry chicken.
In summary, while the taco salad is a recommended choice due to its crispy shell and savory toppings, the chicken salad may not meet expectations, as the chicken can be dry. Despite this, the salads maintain a standard of freshness that enhances the overall dining experience.

The seafood tostada salad offered a delightful dining experience, with its fresh and skillfully balanced ingredients. A standout component of the salad was the cilantro lime dressing, which added a bright and tangy flavor to each bite.
Turning to the taco salad, it was an impressively large portion, perfect for those with a hearty appetite. The ingredients were fresh and carefully arranged, making for an appetizing presentation. I highly recommend this dish for its delicious taste and generous size.

7. Casa de Reyes
Spacious outdoor seating with beautiful courtyard views

The salads at this location are fresh and offer a range of toppings. The chicken salad, while delicious, came with a higher price tag. A different salad option was the taco salad, which was ordered with only vegetables. This salad was mostly comprised of romaine lettuce and lacked other ingredients.
In addition to the salads, beverages were also purchased. A house margarita was ordered for $13, but it was found to be watery. The chicken salad and taco salad were the main focus, and both were deemed fresh and tasty, although the latter was just lettuce and the former was expensive.

9. New Orleans Creole Cafe
Family-owned Creole cafe since 1988 with live music on weekends.

The salad that came with my dinner was accompanied by a vinaigrette dressing that was predominantly made up of oil. I had ordered crawfish for my meal, and while the dish was generously loaded with crawfish, it was lacking in flavor. The seasoning was insufficient, and the crawfish was not properly seasoned with essential ingredients such as salt, pepper, garlic, and other spices that could have given it more depth.
My dinner experience was disappointing due to the lack of flavor in the crawfish dish. The dish was aesthetically pleasing, with a generous serving of crawfish, but it failed to deliver on taste. The vinaigrette dressing on the salad was also unremarkable and did not add much to the overall meal. The absence of flavor in both dishes was noticeable, and it would have benefited from more seasoning and spices to enhance the taste. Overall, the meal was a letdown due to the lack of depth and richness in flavor.

A restaurant with a 50% off coupon for a second entrée was the chosen destination for two couples. After contemplating the menu, both pairs decided to order the same dish of enchiladas, rice, beans, salad, and water. The food was delivered promptly, and the chicken enchiladas with black beans were hot and flavorful.
The taco salad was another dish that caught the group's attention. It was fresh, delicious, and contained a generous portion size. The ingredients were very fresh, making it a recommended option for those who prefer a lighter meal.

13. Trattoria Don Pietro - Sicilian Italian Cuisine
Family-owned and operated, Trattoria Don Pietro features a warm and inviting atmosphere with outdoor seating and a friendly staff.

A group of three people visited a restaurant and ordered several dishes, including a Caesar salad, garlic bread, Brussels sprouts, Ossobuco, orecchiette, and spaghetti with a white cream sauce. The food was praised for its freshness and taste, particularly the Brussels sprouts and the spaghetti. The service was also noted for its attentiveness and timing, but the overall cost of the meal was considered pricey.
However, not all aspects of the dining experience were positive. One of the diners was disappointed with their salad, which they found to be expensive and lacking in taste. Additionally, the waitstaff's behavior of trying to take away plates while the restaurant was still relatively empty was seen as a negative signal. As a result, the disappointed diner stated that they would not return to the restaurant in the future.

15. El Sueno
Local ingredients, farm-to-table, sustainable sourcing

The Caesar salads were adequate, but not particularly impressive. The shrimp in the salad were small and appeared to be from a package, despite the waiter's claim that they were sautéed. The salad portions were also on the smaller side. There was no complementary chips and salsa served.
Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant offered a decent selection of dishes, but the quality and portion size of the Caesar salads were disappointing. The shrimp in the salad seemed mass-produced and lacked freshness, and the overall size of the salad was unsatisfying. Additionally, the absence of complimentary chips and salsa, which are often expected in Mexican restaurants, was noticeable.

16. Que Sazón! in Old Town
Family-owned restaurant serving authentic Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine since 1996 in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
A small street stand located in the old town area has received rave reviews, leading me to go out of my way to check it out. The star of the menu is the pierna adobada (pork) torta, which did not disappoint. It was packed with flavor, making for a highly satisfying meal. I also tried the fresh fruit salad, which was a delightful mix of ripe and sweet fruits, including mango, pineapple, watermelon, and cucumber.
The prices at this street stand are very affordable, and the fruit cup I ordered was no exception. It was a refreshing and delicious treat, filled with fresh and sweet mango, watermelon, pineapple, and cucumber. The seating area is small, accommodating around six people, but it has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The lady running the stand was friendly and took great care of her customers, adding to the overall positive experience.
