7. W Dallas - Victory
Elegant and sophisticated hotel with breathtaking views of the city

I recently stayed at this hotel after a long absence and was surprised to find that the lobby lacked a clear queue for the service desk. While the hotel itself remains nice, this small misstep left me somewhat confused and uncertain of where to go upon arrival. I hope they address this issue in the future to ensure a smooth check-in process for all guests.
8. The Lumen
Boutique luxury hotel with 12 stories and 216 rooms in the heart of Dallas

The Lumen hotel aims to provide a mixed bag of experiences, with some guests appreciating the spacious and comfortable rooms. However, other guests have reported maintenance and noise issues, which negatively impact their stay. The service quality also varies, with some guests reporting unresponsive staff and slow housekeeping. Despite the hotel's beautiful public areas, the atmosphere is marred by rooms that some guests feel need updating.
The Lumen hotel, previously a Ramada, tries to position itself as a boutique hotel, but the Kimpton Treatment cannot save an old, budget facility. For instance, guests have reported being able to hear every noise from their neighbors and their wall-mounted televisions. Moreover, activities like vacuuming at 9:30 am on a Sunday further deter from the hotel's ambiance. Such practices may be acceptable in business hotels, but they are not suitable for a hotel that caters to parents, weddings, and weekenders.

I highly recommend spending some time at the rooftop pool. The area is well-appointed with cabanas and plush lounge furniture, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The view of the city is an added bonus, making it a memorable experience.
