Kingsbury Commons is an excellent park with plenty to see and do, and it's kept in pristine condition. The park features well-marked trails and conveniently located restrooms. Be sure to check out the Troll during your visit! However, parking can be a challenge, with only a small lot available and a security guard on duty. I opted to park at the rec center without any issues.

During our recent visit, we were delighted to discover a hidden gem - a pond teeming with turtles. It was the perfect spot for our little one to explore and marvel at the wonders of nature. The park's cleanliness and maintenance were top-notch, except for a possible makeshift dwelling near the bathroom, which seemed harmless and unobtrusive. Overall, Butler Metro Park is a true gem of Travis County, offering a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Though it can get busy during special holidays, it's usually not crowded, providing a peaceful retreat for locals and visitors alike. So, shh, don't tell everyone about this not-so-secret, cool neighborhood park!

This used to be the best park for toddlers and the kids loved climbing on the little dinosaurs, but it is currently under construction to create a whole new playscape! There are supposedly still some dinosaur elements; check back later in the summer to see if it's done. 11. Lost Creek Neighborhood Park

We haven't been to this park yet, but I keep hearing wonderful things. I'm told it has the best playground for kids ages 2-5! It is completely fenced so you can feel safe that your children will not escape.
