1. Parlay
A cozy spot for delicious meals and friendly vibes.

Upon visiting Parlay, a local restaurant on 8th Ave, the initial experience left much to be desired. Upon entering, we were told to wait to be seated, despite there being only a couple ahead of us and ample seating available. The small restaurant has only five tables, making the seating process feel overly formal and unwelcoming. Despite this, the service was quick and efficient once we were seated, and the food arrived in a timely manner.
Parlay offers a menu filled with a variety of options, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices. Known for their friendly service, generous portions, and reasonable prices, Parlay serves dishes such as the classic cheeseburger and fries, a unique fried chicken sandwich with honey wasabi aioli, and refreshing sweetened iced tea. The quality of the food is consistently high, making for an enjoyable dining experience. It's worth noting that the initial seating process could be improved, but nonetheless, the delicious and satisfying food makes for a positive and enjoyable dining experience overall.

5. Los Tres Potrillos
Authentic Mexican flavors in the heart of Brooklyn.

The service provided during this visit was disappointing, with several waitresses appearing to be intoxicated and unresponsive to customer needs. However, there was one waitress who stood out with her attentiveness and efficient service. She donned glasses and managed to maintain a professional demeanor, providing a glimmer of hope in an otherwise lackluster experience.
The food quantity and quality were inconsistent and expensive. Customers had to pay high prices for food that often arrived late and did not meet expectations. It is unfortunate that the experience was not commensurate with the prices charged, especially considering the potential of the establishment.
