Local 123 is a coffee shop that holds a special place in my heart, but I was disappointed when they began serving only Four Barrel coffee, which isn't my favorite. Thankfully, I've found solace in Sightglass, located in the East Bay. Their individual drip coffee is delicious, especially when paired with doughnuts from Doughnut Dolly.
Despite not living in the neighborhood anymore, I still frequently visit Local 123 because of their great coffee, perfect chai, and friendly staff. My dog also enjoys our visits because she receives a cookie from the staff every time. Additionally, their pastries are delicious.

Known for its commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing

The croissant breakfast sandwich and latte at Blue Bottle were highly praised for their taste and quality. The single origin cappuccino, while not living up to expectations, was still enjoyable. The use of the Acais Orbit dosing tool and the focus on single origin options were notable.
Blue Bottle's sturdy built and clean interior were impressive. However, the cappuccino fell short of showcasing the sweet and floral character of the single origin bean, instead having a more pungent flavor. Despite this, the overall experience was positive and the establishment's reputation was well-deserved.
