3. Belles Beach House
Beachfront dining with a relaxed atmosphere

Belles Beach House presents a clear and unambiguous atmosphere from the moment you step in, featuring a DJ booth, vibrant cocktails, and a large tiki statue. The menu is a mixture of Hawaiian and Pan-Asian inspired dishes that vary in quality, from satisfactory to uninteresting and, at times, poor. Some dishes, like the char siu ribs, are excessively sweet and require cleanup afterward.
The ambiance is delightful, with pleasant decor, cool vibes, and a friendly environment offering excellent service. Drinks are well-made, strong, and appealingly presented. Although service is commendable, there is room for improvement. The food offers a fun spin on Hawaiian and Japanese fusion cuisine, with good flavor, but some dishes suffer from texture problems and are served at room temperature. The most successful dishes are the shrimp and salad.

8. Cafe Gratitude
Known for promoting a healthy lifestyle with positive affirmations

I'm thrilled that the popular restaurant has opened a new location on the westside. The staff at this new location were just as friendly and welcoming as those at the original Larchmont spot. The food served at the westside location is consistent in quality, with a delightful balance of flavors in every dish.
Two dishes that particularly stood out were the puttanesca pasta and the eggplant sandwich. Both were packed with flavor, making it difficult to choose a favorite. The puttanesca pasta had a perfect balance of spiciness and tanginess, while the eggplant sandwich was a delicious vegetarian option, with the eggplant cooked to perfection. Whether you're a regular or a new customer, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

11. Gjelina
Known for their California-Mediterranean fusion cuisine and farm-to-table approach

Gjelina is a well-known restaurant in LA, renowned for its food but also criticized for its service. The restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity to each bill, which may impact the motivation of the staff to provide excellent service. The seating arrangements are also quite close, limiting the privacy of diners. Despite these issues, Gjelina offers a unique dining experience with a diverse menu.
A friend recommended Gjelina for a family visit to LA, and the food did not disappoint. The menu features interesting takes on various dishes, and everything tried was delicious. Standout dishes included prawns, fries, mushrooms, black cod, and a margarita pizza for the children. Additionally, the interior of the restaurant is appealing, and there is a garden/courtyard style dining area at the rear, where we were seated.

12. Eggslut
Features a unique and delicious twist on traditional breakfast and lunch items

The first individual was driving with their husband near the ocean before heading to the airport when they spotted a place to eat. They decided to stop and order food, with the individual trying the eggslut and their husband getting a sandwich. They described the eggslut as an egg over potatoes in a jar with perfectly shaped bread for dipping. They thoroughly enjoyed the meal and described it as delicious.
Someone else visited the same location, specifically to compare the original eggslut with a franchise version they had tried before. They found that both versions were good and were impressed by the messy scrambled eggs served on top of high-quality brioche buns. They arrived at the location after 10 am and were expecting a crowd, but there were none. They appreciated the quick service and the delicious breakfast food.

13. Greenleaf Kitchen & Cocktails in Venice
Uses locally sourced and organic ingredients

The dishes tried were super fresh and delicious. The house hummus was a standout, with a bold flavor that was well-complemented by the crisp jicama and cucumbers, as well as the seasoned pita. Another favorite was the lemongrass chicken salad, which was packed with flavor and quickly became a new favorite. The plan is to order it again in the future.
However, there was an issue with one of the salads. Upon receiving it, it was noticed that some of the expected ingredients were missing. To make matters worse, the container was only filled up to a quarter of its capacity. Given the high price point of the salad, it was disappointing to receive an incomplete and poorly filled portion.

However, despite the positive aspects, the sandwiches and burritos were found to be merely good, but not exceptional. The location of the café is what makes it an attractive spot to visit. However, based on the food tasted, it may not be a place worth returning to.
