6. Dominique Ansel Bakery
Home of the Cronut, innovative pastry creations

The frozen s'more was a popular treat among our group, but the real star of the show was the cookie shots. We were eager to try the famous Cronut, and although it sells out quickly, we were not disappointed with our alternatives. The DKA and chocolate-coconut croissant were both delicious and showcased the unique culinary creativity of Dominique Ansel.
Dominique Ansel's pastries have kept us coming back for more. While the Cronut may be the most well-known, it is certainly not the only delicious item on the menu. Each pastry we tried was uniquely delicious and expertly crafted, reflecting Ansel's culinary talent. Despite the popularity of the Cronut, we found that every pastry we tried was worth the visit to the bakery.

7. Jacques Torres Chocolate - Grand Central Terminal

My husband and I shared a delightful dessert - a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich with chocolate sorbet. The combination was a hit with us, as the chocolate sorbet was rich and full of flavor, while the cookies added a satisfying crunch.
During our visit to Grand Central, we had the opportunity to try a variety of treats, but it was the chocolate ice cream that stood out to us as the best we've ever had. We also appreciated the Torres recipe from the popular show "Nailed It." The chocolate selection was a definite highlight of our visit.

8. Eleni’s
Offers catering and special order services

My dinner experience at Eleni's on Saturday night was a mixed bag. The hostess, Sren, was welcoming and friendly, even when she discovered that my reservation had been lost. She quickly found us a table for two hours of dining without rush. The appetizers, including grilled calamari, octopus, and dips, were delicious and impressed us. Our waitress was also attentive and efficient.
However, I had some issues with the main course and the overall cost of the meal. I ordered the snapper fish special without asking for the price, which turned out to be $80, a considerable sum. The fish came with only two small potatoes and a small dish of vegetables, leaving me feeling somewhat disappointed. Moreover, the bill included a Covid charge, making the meal even more expensive. Regrettably, I don't think I will be returning to Eleni's due to this experience.
9. Gooey on The Inside Cookies
Gourmet cookies made fresh daily

The speaker expresses their personal preference for chocolate, indicating that white chocolate-based treats like the birthday cake cookie and red velvet cookie are not their favorite. However, they recommend these options for those who enjoy white chocolate.
10. Milk Bar
Home of the famous Compost Cookie

Desserts at a certain establishment evoke polarizing opinions, with some guests finding them overly sweet, while others consider them a solid option. The attractive interior design and considerate service provided by the staff are often highlighted as positive aspects of the dining experience.
However, there are areas where the restaurant could improve. For instance, while the service is generally speedy, some customers have noted that the staff could be more amiable and helpful with suggestions. Additionally, there have been complaints about unclean tables and waste bins that are not properly emptied, which can detract from the overall dining experience.

The writer had a disappointing experience with a dry, boring cookie that was supposedly "hot" due to being under a lamp, but turned out to be barely above room temperature. Despite the worker's attempt to warm it up, the cookie remained dry and lacked the gooey texture and spectacular taste they were expecting for $6.50.
On the other hand, Chip City's classic and specialty cookies, such as the chocolate chip, triple chocolate, and white chocolate, are highly recommended.
