Enjoyed a satisfying lunch at this location with a group of friends. The Surf and Turf Nachos were a popular choice and did not disappoint. We decided to sit outside, which added to the enjoyable atmosphere of the meal.

2. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Mission Valley
Spacious and inviting atmosphere with a rustic lodge feel

This restaurant is a convenient location near our hotel, and we decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. The service and food were both excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. There was a wide variety of options on the menu, and the drinks and cold beer were a hit. However, one small disappointment was the candy bacon appetizer, which didn't live up to expectations. But the biggest surprise came when we noticed a delay in getting our drinks, and our server took the initiative to comp our appetizers as an apology. This thoughtful gesture left a great impression, and we would definitely consider returning.
Unfortunately, my recent experience at this same restaurant was not as positive. The menu has become uninspired and limited to standard options, a far cry from the varied and sometimes healthy items it used to offer. Even the Happy Hour menu has been affected. I ordered a Waldorf Chicken Sandwich, which in the past had been a satisfying choice, but this time it was mostly lettuce and had a small amount of filling. My server didn't seem concerned, and my friend's chicken rice bowl lacked appeal with deep-fried breaded chicken on white rice and a lack of other components. The manager, who used to actively check in with customers, was nowhere to be seen. It's disappointing to see the decline in quality and care at this establishment.
