1. Lula Cafe
Local and sustainable ingredients, Daily changing menu, Friendly and attentive service.

My daughter recommended visiting Lula's Cafe for breakfast while we were in Chicago. The cafe was busy on a Sunday morning, and we faced a wait of around 30 minutes. We found the food to be delicious and abundant. I ordered the pancakes but couldn't finish them due to their generous portion size. My wife had the baked French feta, my daughter tried the beet bruschetta, and her boyfriend opted for the breakfast burrito.
Lula Cafe is a gem of a neighborhood eatery that any community would be fortunate to have. It offers both bar and table seating, making it suitable for solo dining or group outings. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming ambiance. The cafe is an ideal location for various occasions, such as when parents visit town, for date nights, or even for ending relationships. However, Lula Cafe is especially popular for brunch, which is our preferred time to dine there.

2. Longman & Eagle
Known for their whiskey selection and farm-to-table approach

Longman and Eagle is a well-known establishment in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, attracting crowds for its weekend brunch. The restaurant offers a unique touch by serving a mini beer back with morning margaritas, adding to its charm. The food stands out, especially the cheesy grits with prawns, which were once a signature dish under the original chef.
However, the restaurant has experienced a decline in food quality since the departure of its original chef. The dishes now lack consistency, thought, and execution, resulting in a less satisfying dining experience. Despite the friendly service, the inconsistent and poorly thought out food has tarnished Longman and Eagle's reputation as a top-tier restaurant.
