I arrived at the North trailhead at 12:30 PM and managed to find a parking spot in the small, dirt parking lot despite the "full" sign. The trail could be steep and slippery at times, and I made a wrong turn at the South end, but I still found it to be a good workout. The East trail looked particularly challenging, and the round trip took me around 90 minutes. By the time I returned, the parking lot had mostly emptied out.
My experience was similar to that of other visitors, as a local informed me that there is another hiking trail in the next canyon, which is less busy. A review from June 16, 2023, also described the hike as a pleasant surprise, with stunning views of Hollywood at the top. The reviewer recommended taking plenty of water and wearing decent shoes, and noted that the East Ridge had a steeper incline. Despite the challenges, the spectacular views made it worth the effort for both of us.
