1. Pilar Cuban Eatery
Family-owned and operated, brings Cuban culture to Brooklyn

Ricardo Barreras rethinks breakfast in this extension of Pilar Cuban Eatery. The casual menu is perfect for grab-and-go snacks. Or linger and savor among Miami's kitsch cafes: an '80s-style painting of a papaya, a faux marlin, pastel geometric mosaics, and a bold neon sign displaying the shop's name.

2. Ursula Brooklyn
Delicious and authentic Mediterranean cuisine in Brooklyn

Influenced by New Mexico, Ursula keeps the menu simple by offering chorizo, bacon, vegan and vegetarian breakfast burritos, all of which come with red or green New Mexican chile, but do yourself a favor and order "Christmas," which is a combination from both. With that, she adds a side of chili for a truly delicious Bed-Stuy brunch.

3. Maya Congee Cafe
Family-owned business specializing in authentic Hong Kong-style congee

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Maya Congee Cafe /Asian Pantry (@mayacogeecafe) Address: 563 Gates Avenue I stumbled upon Maya Congee Cafe thanks to my hairstylist at a salon a few doors away, who recommended I go to the half way through my very long hair appointment. It was a blessing that my hair lasted this long because it has now become one of my favorite places to eat and one of the best restaurants in Bed Stuy. Maya Congee Cafe offers a selection of congee bowls, toasted sandwiches with a modern twist of international flavors. Like everywhere on this list, there are so many amazing options, but some of my favorites are the Spicy Crispy Bowl, Pork Banh Mi, and Avocado Breakfast Sandwich. They also offer many vegetarian options! They are open for breakfast and lunch and are definitely worth a visit, especially if you live in the area. They have outdoor seating and also have special grocery items inside the store that you can purchase.

4. Peaches HotHouse
Cozy atmosphere with a touch of Southern hospitality

Save to a List Website Phone Directions American Bedford-Stuyvesant $ $ $ $ Perfect for: Casual weekday dining Earn 3 points with your Sapphire Card We're pretty sure the fried chicken sandwich at Peaches Hothouse went to Cristiano's school of self-promotion Ronaldo. On the menu, it's called "The World's Best Chicken Sandwich" and the bun is lathered with comeback sauce, a combination of mayonnaise, ketchup, honey and Cajun seasoning. The juices from the Nashville-style hot chicken run through your hand as soon as you pick up this sandwich, while the cayenne in the spicy and extra spicy versions hits your nose like smelling salts. And just like Ronaldo, this sandwich always lives up to the hype. 8.5 8.2 7.7 7.7 8.2 8.1 8.7 8.4

Meatless vegan burgers are delicious and will keep you coming back for more. You can also opt for pumpkin empanadas which are delicious. 10. Stonefruit Espresso + Kitchen
Modern breakfast and brunch spot with a cozy atmosphere

Stonefruit Espresso and Kitchen is as delicious as it is aesthetically pleasing, which can sometimes be difficult to achieve. They are open daily from early to late and have some of my favorite brunches in Bed Stuy. Plus, the space is filled with plants and the natural light coming in is perfect on a sunny day. If you can, hook the cabin next to the window and you will never want to leave.

11. Golda
Popular brunch spot with creative twists on traditional Mediterranean dishes

Address: 504 Franklin Avenue Golda is a place that consistently ranks as one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in all of New York and consistently ranks as one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants, making it one of the best lunch spots in Bed Stuy. Golda is known for their signature egg and cheese sandwich, it is truly delicious and should definitely be part of your brunch order. Make sure to add avocado to make it even better. Their pancakes, breakfast plate, and labneth parfait are also great items to pair with your delicious coffee or matcha, making it one of the perfect meals. Plus, you can't go wrong with their fried chicken and fried egg sandwich either. Golda takes reservations by phone and has a small seating area inside. They also have outdoor seating in the front or you can take them to go.

12. Chez Oskar
Romantic date night spot in Brooklyn

Address: 310 Malcolm X Blvd. Chez Oskar is a quaint little bistro located in the heart of Bed Stuy. They often have live music, have a great happy hour, and are one of the best lunch spots in Bed Stuy. Focusing on French cuisine and family atmosphere, this is definitely a place to add to your list. Brunch is one of my favorite meals at Chez Oskar and for good reason. They have several great brunch cocktails to choose from and the food is divine. There's a breakfast sandwich, so you know it's one of my favorites, but their sourdough toast is amazing too. If you're hungrier than toast, the steak frites and any of the burgers are also a very solid option. Chez Oskar is open daily and offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. They have indoor and outdoor dining but do not accept reservations.
