Impressive architecture and design

The library in question is a fantastic resource with extensive materials. During a recent visit, the staff members on the 7th floor research area were particularly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were able to locate all the information I needed on several obscure historical sites in Texas.
However, when I inquired about the old Carnegie library in Dallas, the staff was not able to provide any information. I was hoping to see the cornerstone from the original building or learn more about it, but unfortunately, they were not aware of it. Nevertheless, we found the 7th floor exhibits on Bonnie and Clyde to be informative and interesting.

The review of Fretz Library is overly negative and unobjective, as it fails to consider the library's relative strengths compared to other local libraries with worse conditions. The library receives only one star, which is unfair and not representative of its true value.

20. Skyline Branch Library
Hosts various community events and activities.

The library has transitioned to a self-service model, which I appreciate. In the past, the employees who were supposed to help were often uncooperative and unfriendly. Now, they remain behind the desk, still unhelpful and unengaged, but at least they don't directly interact with patrons. This location lacks excitement, as there are no cool events or activities hosted here.
The book selection at this library is also disappointing. There is a limited variety of books available, which is surprising given that libraries are typically known for their wide range of reading materials. Despite the improvements in self-service, the lack of helpful employees and limited book selection make this library a less than desirable place to visit. Overall, while the concept of a self-service library is nice, the execution of it at this location could use some improvement.
