1. Museum of Ice Cream
Where flavor meets fun in a sprinkle-filled wonderland

The Museum of Ice Cream is a must-visit destination for ice cream lovers. The gift of museum admission was received by a doting spouse over three consecutive Christmases, and the anticipation built up to a fever pitch. Upon entering, the visitor is immediately greeted with a playful atmosphere, starting with a ball pit that sets the stage for the rest of the experience.
Other exciting installations at the museum include a mini bouncy room, swing set, and an ice cream-themed arcade. The exhibition culminates in a giant sprinkle pool, complete with a slide, providing endless amusement for guests. Moreover, there is a separate sprinkle 'hot tub' exclusively for adults, a thoughtful touch appreciated by those seeking a break from the younger crowd.
2. La Barca Cantina

A peaceful oasis just minutes from downtown Manhattan.

A memorable experience was had at Collective Retreats on Governor's Island. The luxurious tent included a king-sized bed with soft sheets and both indoor and outdoor seating areas. In the evening, we enjoyed watching boats pass by Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty while the sun set from our outdoor seating area. The atmosphere was tranquil as we sipped drinks on the veranda, played games in the game tent, and mingled with other guests in the common seating areas after a day of exploring the island's historic sites.
Following several days in the city, the serene atmosphere at Collective Retreats was a much-needed respite. While the city is still visible, offering an amazing view of Manhattan, one is surrounded by nature. The tranquility and excellent service, combined with delicious food, made for a rejuvenating stay.
