6. Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill
Handcrafted cocktails and over 50 beer choices

As a frequent visitor to London and the UK, I eagerly look forward to authentic pub experiences. However, my recent visit was disappointing. The shepherd's pie, which was actually a cottage pie due to the use of beef instead of lamb, was undercooked and had an excessive amount of potato compared to mince. The scotch egg had a crispy exterior but lacked a distinct sausage layer, making it hard to taste. The service was also poor, which further diminished the overall experience.
On the contrary, first-time visitors to this establishment may have a different impression. The menu offered a variety of delicious options. Our server, Chris, was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Moreover, enjoying our meal on the patio was an enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend trying their old-fashioned cocktail. Despite my underwhelming experience, there are still positive aspects to this pub that are worth mentioning.

8. Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill
Committed to sourcing local, fresh ingredients

As a regular visitor to London and the UK, I look forward to having an authentic pub experience. Sadly, my most recent visit fell short of my expectations. The shepherd's pie I ordered was not properly cooked and had an excessive amount of potato compared to mince. Moreover, the service was less than satisfactory.
On the other hand, Thirsty Lion never disappoints when it comes to food. However, during my last visit, the service was only adequate. The restaurant was a bit noisy due to the basketball games being shown on the televisions, which was to be expected as it was during March Madness.
