4. Far Bar
Offers a unique blend of a lively bar scene and upscale atmosphere.

Upon our arrival in the city, we were delighted to find a restaurant with a very late opening time, where we could enjoy a satisfying late dinner and local craft beer. The interior of the establishment featured impressive expanses of exposed brick, contributing to a unique and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally helpful, enhancing the dining experience along with the high-quality food and reasonable prices.
Initially, we had planned to dine at a restaurant in Little Tokyo Plaza. However, the heat proved to be a deterrent, and we discovered that our chosen establishment was not air conditioned. In search of relief, we stumbled upon Far Bar across the street, where we opted to sit at the bar for Happy Hour. The bartender entertained us with their lively performance, and our on-tap Old Fashioneds were delicious. We also indulged in a tater-tot appetizer, which was so generously portioned that we were unable to finish it. Fortunately, the bartender kindly packaged the leftovers for us to take back to our hotel, where we later enjoyed them as a tasty snack.

During a quiet Sunday afternoon, I visited the bar and found it to be completely adequate. Despite the lack of customers, there were no specials offered to attract patrons. I tried their basic highball, which was a bit disappointing - a lemon soda with a hint of whiskey for $10.
