11. Crispy Fried Chicken
Family-owned business since 1990, serves alcohol
After placing an order for shrimp and grits and a catfish plate, I was told it would be ready within 15 minutes. I left to go shopping at Burlington Coat Factory, located about 2 miles away. Upon my return, approximately 25 minutes later, an employee asked if I had placed an order. I confirmed that I had, and expressed my frustration at having to wait beyond the specified time. The employee, a bald young woman, seemed to have a negative attitude towards my complaint.
My order included a catfish plate, which I found to be a bit overcooked for my preference. However, it still had a good taste. The basket was served with criss-cut Cajun fries, which were delicious. Despite the tasty food, the long wait and unfriendly customer service has led me to decide that I will not be returning to the restaurant in the future.
