6. EJ's Pub - Bixby Knolls
Cozy atmosphere, Live music on weekends, Pet-friendly patio

Seven friends and I visited EJ's, a neighborhood pub in Long Beach, for brunch. Our group ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes. Disappointingly, several meals did not include listed items such as tomatoes on burgers and fruit with breakfast, with the excuse that the cooks had forgotten or run out of the ingredients.
EJ's, previously the site of Long Beach's historic Russell's restaurant, boasts an appealing atmosphere. Although Russell's was renowned for its burgers and pies, it had sadly deteriorated before closing. EJ's, or Malloy's as it is also known, has admirably taken its place, making for a decent drink spot. However, while the fish and chips and many sandwiches are enjoyable, caution is advised when ordering other dishes.
