2. San Juan Huetamo
Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, popular spot

The bread at this bakery is freshly made and of top quality, unlike other bakeries that sell old and stale bread. I was impressed by the freshness of the bread and plan to visit again.
However, my experience with their customer service was poor. When I made a complaint about a cake that was delivered in poor condition for my daughter's wedding, I was disappointed with their response. The cake arrived late and was not stable, causing the topper to fall and break into pieces. I had to remove the top cakes, which was a frustrating experience on such a memorable day. I would not recommend this bakery based on my unfortunate experience.

3. ECK Bakery
Family-owned bakery serving the Houston community since 1998

ECK Bakery in Houston is famous for its Chinese egg tarts, also known as Dan tat, and mango mochi. On my first day in Houston, I tried their egg tarts and they were absolutely delicious, with a flaky crust and a sweet and creamy custard filling. Unfortunately, they were sold out of mango mochis that day.
Determined to try the mango mochis, we returned to ECK Bakery the next day and I was not disappointed. The mango mochis were just as amazing as the egg tarts, with a perfectly chewy exterior and a sweet and tangy mango filling. This bakery is a must-visit for anyone in Houston who loves high-quality pastries with a unique twist.

Six Ping, a bakery in Houston, is known for its pleasant smell of pastries that strongly resembles the bakeries in Taiwan, making it a rarity in the area. Many of the bakeries in Houston do not have this enticing aroma. The cakes at Six Ping are highly praised for their flavor and appearance. At Six Ping, the smell of fresh pastries takes customers back to the bakeries in Taiwan. Unfortunately, this is not a common experience in many Houston bakeries.
