6. The Perch Kitchen and Tap
Family-friendly atmosphere with a fun and modern vibe

The Perch, a restaurant located near The Robey hotel, offers excellent food, service, and ambiance. My mother and I, dressed in jeans and sneakers, were pleased to find that our attire was appropriate for the setting. The interior was tastefully designed, featuring an appropriate level of lighting, green tiles on the bar, and unique bathroom wallpaper. We opted to sit inside, but the covered patio appeared to be a cozy option as well.
The food served at The Perch did not disappoint. We started with cornbread and lobster deviled eggs, based on positive online reviews, and were not disappointed. The lobster deviled eggs, in particular, were a pleasant surprise with their unique combination of flavors. For our main courses, we enjoyed a half-chicken with mashed potatoes and seabass, which was part of a special menu. The dishes were so delicious that we found it hard to stop eating.
The restaurant also offered an excellent selection of drinks and starters. My husband enjoyed a mocktail mojito, while I tried a Bloody Mary with a beer chaser. The Bloody Mary was thick and spicy, and I enjoyed the added touch of the beer back. For starters, we shared four lobster deviled eggs and cheese curds. The tuna salad, which we split for our main course, was perfectly cooked and served with a ginger dressing that featured hints of mango and avocado. Overall, The Perch is an excellent restaurant that we would definitely visit again.
