13. Tai Loi
Family-owned, Authentic Vietnamese cuisine, Cozy atmosphere
I had a negative dining experience at a restaurant where I was overcharged for my meal. I ordered the basil baby clam dish, which was priced at $9.99 on the menu. However, I was charged $19.99 when the bill arrived. The owner claimed it was a different dish, lemongrass baby clam, and showed me the dinner menu. I was not satisfied with the explanation and have decided not to return to the restaurant and will warn my friends about my experience.
Additionally, the restaurant failed to cook my pork dish properly, serving it undercooked and still red and bloody. I was unable to eat most of the dish and complained, but they still charged me the full price. The restaurant also played communist music, which made me uncomfortable and suspicious of their business practices. I believe they may be running their business in a communist manner, which contributed to my overall negative experience.
