2. UnderTow
Unique underwater drinking experience

UnderTow is a nautical-themed cocktail bar in Phoenix, Arizona, created by the Barter & Shake Cocktail Entertainment team. It opened its doors in August 2016, offering a unique immersive atmosphere that makes guests feel like they are aboard a pirate ship, secretly transporting rum or other treasures. The bar is known for its worldly and tropical cocktails, which are far from ordinary and come with a higher price point.
Stepping into UnderTow gives you the impression of being in the hull of a ship, with its dim lighting and cozy seating arrangements. The atmosphere is further enhanced by occasional simulated storms, complete with lightning effects and dimmed lights. While the cocktails may be on the pricier side, they are far from dull, offering a unique drinking experience that is worth every penny.

9. Floor 13 Rooftop Bar
Reservations recommended, breathtaking sunset views

Floor 13 offers drinks with bold flavors and quality ingredients, providing a distinct and enjoyable drinking experience. However, some customers have noted that wait times for drinks can be longer than expected. Additionally, a few customers have expressed that the prices for these drinks are higher than they would prefer.
In terms of service, Floor 13 has received positive feedback, with customers praising the staff for their attentiveness and helpfulness. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to try the food at Floor 13. But if the quality of their cocktails and champagne is any indication, it's likely that their food offerings are equally impressive.

10. Highball
Local craft beers, handcrafted cocktails, and live music

Credit: Highball Phoenix Walking into this Tales-nominated downtown Phoenix establishment is like walking into 1978—if 1978 had craft spirits and bars made complex, delicious cocktails instead of offering 7s and 7s. Located high on the second floor of A historic building, the site's mix of rich woods, exposed brick, and potted plants creates a seamless sense of precise post-Bicentennial elegance. The unpretentious service keeps things as warm and inviting as a no-frills neighborhood bar, which is exactly the atmosphere co-owners and Phoenix bar industry veterans Libby Lingua and Mitch Lyons wanted to create. "Our goal was to create a bar with a big city feel but with a cozy and comfortable space, the kind of space our customers would want to sink into for a while," Lingua tells VinePair. The extensive cocktail list gives customers many appealing reasons to stay, but also gives them the opportunity to leave what they know behind. "Our experience honed our skills to the point where we can understand what our clientele wants," Lingua explains. "At the same time, the bar industry acts as a network for the exchange of ideas, so we also want to use the menu to keep people up to date with what's happening in the country." 13. Trophy Room
Spacious patio with fire pits

Speakeasies may be a little tired, but they can still be exciting when done right. This upscale hunting lodge-themed downtown venue demonstrates this exceptionally well. Guests must lock their phones in a cabinet before entering, so forget about coming here solely for the 'Gram. This tactic forces guests to focus on the things that make a craft cocktail bar worth going to: well-composed drinks, conversations with others, and enjoying each moment with their senses rather than through a filter. Of camera. The potent cocktails made behind these closed doors are absolutely delicious, but a mystery to the public. While the space opened in early February, there are no online menus and there are currently no photo leaks. The only way to experience this place is to come to Phoenix and see it for yourself. If that's what it takes to get you introduced to Phoenix's vibrant and lively drinking scene, that's a good thing.
