However, there have been reports of poorly maintained vehicles and unqualified instructors. One individual's son reported issues with the car's steering during a lesson, which raises concerns about the quality of the vehicles being used for instruction. It is strongly recommended to exercise caution when considering this driving school.
3. Texas Driving School
Individualized instructions and detailed progress reports

The customer service experience after completing a course is dreadful. Despite never receiving the physical certificate by mail, follow-up efforts to provide an alternative address and receive the certificate were unsuccessful. Weeks went by without any update, and when a digital certificate was eventually sent via email, it was password protected. Customer service was unable to provide the password or any solution, making the certificate effectively useless.
The school's fee structure is attractive but turns out to be deceiving. The online course fee appears reasonable at $25.00 plus a $3.00 processing fee. However, the delivery of the certificate of completion takes two to three weeks, and the school does not guarantee its delivery. If the certificate is lost or misplaced, the school charges an additional $39.95 for a duplicate copy. To make matters worse, I was also overcharged $28.00 for the course itself. This hidden charge and the overall lack of transparency is unacceptable and borders on fraud. I strongly advise against enrolling in this school.
4. Texas Driving School
Emphasizes defensive driving techniques and customized lesson plans

Dealing with the driving school's customer service has been a frustrating experience. After completing a course, I was expecting to receive a certificate in the mail, but it never arrived. I contacted them to provide an alternative address, but even after waiting for weeks, the certificate still did not arrive. They eventually sent me the certificate via email, but I couldn't use it because it was protected and required a password to sign. I tried reaching out to customer service for help, but they were unable to provide a password or a solution, and they eventually disconnected the chat.
5. Get Drivers Ed

However, I must point out that there is room for improvement in their online product. Specifically, the loading time for each of the 526 slides can be significantly reduced for a smoother user experience."

10. Texas Driving School
Offers various driving courses and flexible schedules

The in-class portion of the driving course was well-received, with students completing it promptly. However, the driving portion of the course has been a challenge. Students are required to complete 7 hours of driving with an instructor, and appointments are scheduled following the completion of the in-class portion. Unfortunately, there has been a significant delay in scheduling these appointments. Despite waiting almost a month, an appointment has not yet been secured. The delay has been attributed to a long list of call-backs, possibly due to the closure of another location.
The instructor for the course, Mr. Guzman, has received positive feedback. However, the receptionist's behavior has been less than satisfactory. The receptionist has been described as rude and unprofessional, both over the phone and in person. Checking in for class has been met with dirty looks and an unpleasant demeanor. The driving portion of the course has yet to be experienced, and it is hoped that the service provided will improve.

12. Rhodes Driving School
Emphasizes defensive driving techniques

The location offers a good experience, but the requirement to pay high fees for ultimately being scammed is frustrating. The initial school or class portion of the experience is easy, flexible, and allows for make-up days. However, the company fails to provide adequate reminders regarding contract deadlines and withholds crucial information about the actual drives.
One positive aspect was the driving instructor, Crystal, who was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Unfortunately, the male driving instructor assigned to the writer's son fell asleep during a driving lesson, which is unacceptable considering the high cost of the lessons. This incident highlights the need for better quality control and oversight of the driving instructors to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
