7. Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar
Waterfront dining, extensive seafood selection, and raw bar.

A group of us visited the new Brigantine facility located on the San Diego pier, previously the site of Anthony's. The large restaurant had to keep 50% of its space closed due to COVID-19 protocols. We were served by Forrest, an exceptional server who upsold us a bottle of wine and shared his enthusiasm for the restaurant. Our grilled oysters with wontons were overcooked, but the New England clam chowder was served hot and tasted delicious.
Three girlfriends had lunch together at the Brigantine for the first time. We recommend making a reservation as many people were waiting for first-come, first-serve seating. We enjoyed an upscale outside patio table with stunning views of Coronado and the Star of India. We tried the crab and lobster Cobb salad, a House salad with added grilled shrimp, and Macadamia encrusted mahi. All the dishes had beautiful presentations, and we highly recommend their Pomegranate Sangria, which was flavorful and refreshing. We can't wait to visit again!
