Before its purchase by New Rochelle, Ward Acres Park was part of a large estate and horse farm. It is now a combined area with hiking trails, a 5-acre fenced dog park, and a community garden. Although it used to be a farm in the past, the picturesque stone walls and old barn make it a beautiful sight and a must-see. Although a lot of time has passed, the locals still keep his memory. Additionally, this place is widely used as a dog park. If you wish, you can walk your dog without a leash on the trails that surround the park. Dog lovers will find this a gem if they explore it! However, dog walkers must also obtain a permit from New Rochelle City Council. Both residents and non-residents have to pay, but it is definitely worth it.
